In the last couple of months the staff and I have been diligently working on creating school- wide positive behavior expectations and wanted to share them with you. Ask your child about the videos that go along with them created by Ms. Schaefer’s and Ms. Hinson’s students. Feel free to email me if you have any questions.

Troop 60842 will be cleaning out the lost and found this Friday, January 31st. Please check the cart for any missing items.

Mountain Mike’s Pizza Fundraiser

All day on Feb. 10th and 11th Mountain Mike’s Pizza in Mountain View will give 25% back from (non-alcohol) purchases to benefit the Huff PTA. Just mention Huff when you order!

Over the next few months we’ll be putting together the Huff yearbook. We’d love it if you can lay out a few pages - maybe your child’s class page! The software is pretty easy (we can give you a quick online training session) and you can work from home so it’s great for working parents.

We’d also love more photographs of clubs and after school activities so if you have a chance, please take some photos and send them to us.

If you’re interested in helping out, please email Kathleen Mikulis and Dorothy Lin at

District News:

Afterschool activities advertising

There are many opportunities in Mountain View for students to enrich their learning afterschool or during school breaks. With safety and consistency in mind, our school newsletter and website will advertise only District-, school- and PTA-sponsored events and activities. While we recognize that there are many providers of enrichment activities who use our campus, we may promote only those that follow specific MVWSD parameters for safety and supervision.

The District provides as a resource to parents who are seeking additional learning opportunities for their students. To view student enrichment activities, school break and afterschool classes in our community that are not hosted by MVWSD, please see our partner, MVWSD has not reviewed all programs/events found there and does not specifically endorse them. Parents should thoroughly research all activities before enrolling their children.
