Imai Gazette 10/02/24

Principal’s Message:

Dear Imai Families,

Parent Teacher Conferences are critical opportunities for families and teachers to discuss students’ progress toward standards and academic levels, as well as their social-emotional development. Conference week this year is October 21-25. Every day that week is a minimum day. Students will be released at 11:55 a.m.

By October 14th, all families should have received  an email from your child’s teacher with a google survey link or instructions on how to sign up. Please fill out before 10/18.

Reminder:

Fill out all information for each conference slot: child’s name, parent/guardian name(s), email, phone number, and whether you need an interpreter.

Better Together: October

Families come in all shapes and sizes, each one a unique community bound by love, support, and shared experiences. This month #BetterTogether presents the topic “A family is a community”. October is also LGBTQ+ History Month. As we celebrate both of these together, we are reminded of the countless families that have fought for recognition and acceptance, paving the way for a more inclusive understanding of what family means. From single-parent households to multigenerational homes, from same-sex couples to chosen families within the LGBTQ+ community, each family contributes its own special thread to the vibrant tapestry of our society.
