Principal’s Message:
Dear Imai Families,
Welcome to the 2025-2026 school year. I am looking forward to seeing familiar faces back on campus as well as welcoming our new families. We are excited for this school year and can’t wait to create great memories together. This year we are expecting around 400+ students in grades TK-5. Your child is in great hands with our wonderful and talented teachers who can’t wait to meet them. Please be on the lookout for the Imai Gazette every Wednesday for updates and school events. The first day of school is on 8/13/25 and it’s a minimum day (11:55 AM dismissal) please plan accordingly as parking is limited and the parking lot to your right is for staff only. Give yourself plenty of time to walk your child to class and take as many pictures as you want but once the bell rings, we kindly ask you to leave campus.
Here is a little bit about me. This year will be my seventh year as a principal at Imai but my 29th year as an educator. I have a BA in Liberal Studies with a focus on Education, a Minor in Asian American Studies, a Multi-Subject Teaching Credential (bilingual accreditation: Spanish) and a Masters in Educational Leadership. I come from a long line of educators and couldn’t see myself doing anything else.
My husband and I are the proud parents of a 25 year old (Benny) who will be starting as an elementary art teacher in New York. . We are empty nesters but are fur-parents to 4 cats (Java-Mocha-Sugar-Salt). In our free time we enjoy hiking, camping and are avid Disney fans and enjoy going as often as we can.
