Principal’s Message:

Dear Huff families,

Thank you for stopping by and saying hello during material distribution. It was nice seeing everyone. Our week started off to a rocky start with Zoom and Clever acting out. We thank you in advance for your patience, understanding and flexibility during this time as this might not be the last time we will experience technical difficulties. Your child’s teacher will communicate with you on assignments or activities your child can be working on if this were to occur again.

On Wednesday (08/26), please join for Back to School Night to learn general information about your child’s classroom and what they will be learning this year. This is your opportunity to ask general questions about the daily or weekly schedule, assignments, CA teaching standards, etc…

Our schedule is as follow:

5:00-5:30PM General Meeting with me (Grades K-2)

Please register here

5:30-6:00PM General Meeting with me (Grades 3-5)

Please register here

You only need to attend one session. Teachers will repeat the information at each session.

6:00-6:45PM Session 1 (child’s teacher- zoom link sent by teacher)

6:45-7:30PM Session 2 (child’s teacher- zoom link sent by teacher)

Online Assessments

Next week we will be administering our i-ready assessments for English Language Arts  for students in grades 1-5. Please be on the lookout for an email with the schedule. Teachers will be proctoring the assessment so please do not assist your child while they are taking the test. We want to make sure we are assessing what they know and how to tailor instruction to best meet their needs.

Feel free to reach out to us if you have any questions.

Sincerely,

Arline Siam
