Imai Gazette 04/17/24

Principal’s Message:

Dear Imai Families,

This week our fifth graders started their state testing with the science test. Thank you parents for sending the encouragement letters that students get to read before they take the test. Next week CAASPP testing will continue for all students in grades 3-5. Please make sure your child has a good night's sleep and eats a healthy and nutritious breakfast before coming to school.

Don’t forget to purchase your ticket for the Little Mermaid Jr. on Thursday or Friday. Our students have been working hard and it’s a show you don’t want to miss out on. You can purchase tickets online. (see flier attached)

On Saturday, April 20th from 9am-noon, we are hosting the Children's Business Fair. 2nd – 5th graders will be marketing and selling their handcrafted items, ranging from crafts (slime, homemade cards, flower pots) to child-made carnival games, and the event will feature donation opportunities and a food truck. This is a cash-only event. Please bring small coins and bills. (see flier attached)

The lost and found is out of control so  please stop by and check if anything in there belongs to your child. We will be donating everything left by the end of the week.

Have a wonderful rest of the week!

Arline Siam

Principal

Better Together: April

In April, MVWSD is recognizing National Volunteer Month and the #BetterTogether monthly theme of advocacy. This presents our district with an opportunity to acknowledge the invaluable contributions of volunteers in our community but also an opportunity to highlight the significance of advocacy in supporting volunteer efforts. Through advocacy, volunteers can advocate for causes they are passionate about, promote volunteerism within their communities, and advocate for systemic changes that create a more inclusive environment for all. By recognizing the importance of advocacy within the context of National Volunteer Month, we empower volunteers to not only lend their time and skills but also to be agents of change in building a better, more equitable society. We are #BetterTogetherMVWSD. For more information about Better Together, visit mvwsd.org/BetterTogetherMVWSD.
