Imai Gazette 05/10/23

Principal’s Message:

Dear Imai Families,

This week we are celebrating our wonderful teachers and acknowledging how much we appreciate them.  Don’t forget to send them an appreciation email or letter letting them know. We are almost done with CAASPP testing. We have a couple of make-ups to do and then we will be completely done. Next week, we start i-ready math on Tuesday and i-ready ELA on Thursday. Don’t forget to remind your child to charge their chromebook every night.

Library books: The deadline for all books to be returned to the library is Friday, May 19th. Please help your student find and return their books, or contact Ms. Alisa at [email protected] to arrange replacements for lost books. Any class that returns all their books or has made arrangements for replacements by May 19th will earn an extra recess!

Congratulations to all of our students who reclassified from English Language Learner to English Proficient.

Reclassification Ceremony will be Thursday  at Crittenden from 5-7PM

Let's take this opportunity to stand in solidarity with our AAPI friends and family and celebrate our shared values of inclusivity, diversity, and acceptance. PTA NEWS

DON’T MISS EAGLEFEST! FRIDAY, MAY 19, 5:00-8:00pm

Eaglefest is our fantastic year-end carnival with loads of fun for the whole family, with inflatable slides and obstacle courses, a climbing wall, face painting, a cake walk, crafts and games, karaoke and dancing, and food trucks. Except for food purchases, everything is FREE for the Imai community, sponsored by Imai PTA.

BUT WE NEED YOUR HELP: To make it all run smoothly, we need help from EVERYONE. We ask each family attending to take one short volunteer shift. Most shifts are just 30 minutes, and the jobs are generally simple and fun. If every attending family takes one shift, we’ll be fully covered! Please sign up today on Konstella to ensure Eaglefest runs smoothly and is fun for everyone!

AND WE NEED YOUR BAKED GOODS: The CAKEWALK is always a fun activity for our kids but we can’t do it without lots of cakes, brownies & cookies. If you can provide home-baked or store-bought goodies, please sign up on our Cake Walk Donation Page on Konstella. More details about what’s required is in the description on that page.

KARAOKE SIGN-UPS: Students can sign up now to sing Karaoke at Eaglefest! Choose a song from DJ Purple’s clean songbook and then sign up on this Google sheet. Sign-ups may fill or close early, so don’t delay.
